Liverpool left-back Andrew Robertson has said he did not deserve a penalty. After his side’s 2-0 Champions League win over Real Madrid on Tuesday. While also threatening pundit Jamie Carragher with a warning if he works at Anfield this weekend.

Starting with a penalty kick in the 61st minute.

The ‘Reds’ were leading 1-0. Robertson lightly hooked Lucas Vasquez in the 18-yard box. The referee deemed it a foul UFABET

Diva Kylian Mbappe, who was on duty to shoot to his right was saved by goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher. Who dived to save the home team.

Until they got the final goal in the 77th minute from a corner kick on the right side. Where Robertson played a short game before dropping the ball into the six-yard box. Where Cody Gakpo headed the ball into the net without anyone marking him.

That prompted the Scottish international to give his thoughts on both the penalty and Carragher’s tirade against his team-mate. Mohamed Salah over his comments about a new contract ahead of the clash.

“It’s true that it wasn’t a violent physical contact. I just poked my leg out a little bit,” he told CBS Sports.

“It wasn’t a serious clash, but the referee saw it as a foul and didn’t change the decision.”

“Maybe I saw that Caoimhin Kelleher was bored and gave him something to do. And he stepped up and made a good save. Thank you very much.”

As for Carragher’s harsh criticism of Salah, the Scotland captain said the Reds’ dressing room was also upset, but he could not say what he said about the incident. We’ll have to wait and see when we meet this weekend.

“He’d be in trouble if he came into our dressing room!” Robertson joked.

“I’d rather not comment. Never mind.”

“I think he was hired as a pundit to do that, to do his job, to be part of football in this era where people criticise, they make comments, whether we agree or disagree.”

Carragher will be part of the Sky Sports broadcasting crew for Liverpool v Man City at Anfield (Dec 1 ) . It will be interesting to see if the atmosphere will be awkward if he has the chance to face Salah .
